Lonely Little (Juv) White Eyed Buzzard perched on this thorny vegetation on a cold bare winter morning, left a feeling of loneliness in my heart. Tried a hand on making a high key image as i feel it would convey this feel of loneliness....please do share your thoughts (and if possible, a title other than "loneliness"... :) )... Wish you All a very Happy New Year

Looks very effective to my eyes Hrishikesh. I am sure RD can give you a more authoritative view on this one !

Thank you Ganeshji... I was wondering about the effect, if i had juuussssst....excluded the WEB, leaving the rest.. Would it still connect the image to "Loneliness"? ...? (As you suggested, RD's Views would be very valuable to me on this image.....)

I think the answer is "no" based on my taste buds, but RD can tell you more since he has been experimenting a lot with such creations..

A square , cropping out bottom would be my choice.
Having the bird in this frame is a debate within yourself. While such elements take the viewers attention all over the image, absence of them too can make viewers to expect a bit more.
in this case loneliness cannot be associated with or without the bird. A single bird does not mean it is loneliness. Loneliness is an emotion felt, i guess such raptors are loners mostly in their life and hence may not have a feeling of loneliness. Would the viewer get a feel of loneliness by looking at this image ? As a viewer i don't, 'wait' or 'roost' or 'rest' comes to my mind.

For me this is good. A dry tree/bush is adding to the lonely WEB Juv, raising some hopes in the future.
Compo is also fine to me. For me the bottom left individual thorny branch can be cloned out.
Thanks for sharing.
