What on earth is this Sacha! completely stumped by this. Is this strobe light? multiple exposure? Or did the bird kind of strobe itself through pauses in its movement?

Elegant ! Often these multiple exposures (or in-camera or merges) have a tendency look a bit artificial, but not this one !
