It indeed belongs there Arati - nicely portrayed. Your thoughts reminds me of ivory burning at Kenya. I think these are very complex issues, root causes may lead to world hunger problems (at the bottom of the chain of poaching - not the end consumers). Hope nature knows how to solve this issue :(

Indeed ganesh, very complex and getting increasingly powerful at the bottom end. More than hunger, it is power (congo, chad, etc where elephant populations are in danger of local extinctions due to poaching by the government and rebel militia).

anyway, that is for another forum, or maybe coffee and dosa!

The light and shadows work really well here. I loved the texture on the tusks and the trunk! No need to see the eye of the elephant to complete the image.
