Unrelated to the image, is there any close by place (Hotel/guest house) near Khadir where we can stay for a few days ? Last time we stayed there in a school for a day. Is there any close by town which offers some basic hygienic place to stay ? Do we see large congregation every year at Khadir ? Sorry, too many questions..

i saw some great images from you,Nilanjan & Praveen Mohandas & felt that i wasted the opportunity ....

Coming to the answers ::: Congregation depends on the monsoon ...That year it rained heavily there as well as in adjoining area ( including bordering Pakistan) & flood in rivers
brought large volume of water along the bridge... The famous flamingo city which is a restricted area otherwise ( you need BSF & forest official`s permission,not only that you have to travel for many hours on camel
& tractor to reach there) is not too far from this place.. I haven`t been to ` flamingo city' but heard many stories about it & that year `Khadir' was almlost extension of flamingo city.

I too stayed in the same school Alternatively,You can stay at DHOLAVIRA -famous archaeological site in a hotel run by Gujarat tourism,which is approx.30 km from Khadir... I do have few contacts in khadir & will let you know the status of birds this year...

Jayesh, i love the pair, its slight blur and the red adds the punch and makes it trendy and boutique style,
not sure about the bold white frame.. think it overpowers the delicate birds in the frame..just IMO.
