Conveys well. Especially because the rib like embankment and the piece like a bone and the vanishing point of eternity I do get this "Grave" feeling

Thanks Raj! Humans have always been at loggerheads with nature. 84 percent of land in punjab is for agricultural use. I can well imagine such large tracts being cleared of trees forests over decades. Even though punjabis (I'm sure other states as well) celebrate nature with nature appearing as one of the defining motifs of Punjabi folklore the reality is different. There's this love hate relationship which exists between a farmer and nature. Of late I've witnessed large scale felling of trees for widening of roads, construction projects and other urban requirements. I was talking to a forest officer and he told that in last 5 years 50000 trees have been felled in Bathinda distt alone. It is in the background of this mayhem that I undertook portraying the conflict. Nature at the verge of being cleared out, nature on the last straw, nature resisting and some more aspects. Will be sharing it here. Do lemme know when I become repetitive.

The road ripped apart the heart, very thought provoking image Nirlep. Larger version would add a lot I guess. Not sure whether we are part of the nature, not sure where to draw the boundary though I feel we have crossed it.
