Trying to imagine if earth has more than one moon and if a similar image is made with those moons :)
Loved this image....good decision on not showing the light poles.

Thanks for liking the image. About visual din allow me to be anecdotal RD. Kids of a friend who emigrated to the USA want to come back and live in their native village in punjab. The reason? they are so used to sleeping under the stars. Not being able to behold the star spangled sky amidst artificial lumens fills me with a sense of loss much like those kids. Romantic? yes I think so. Nostalgic? yes again. The day I took the shot I asked myself how often do I see moonrise? I was disappointed with my own reply. High rises, road signs, neons, headlights, hoardings, .......din. Hope I'm making sense

OMG! Its a classic! I fell in love with the image from the moment I saw the thumbnal. True not many watch the moon rise these days or sleep under the stars and thats mostly due to the way we have fabricated the environment around us, and one of the biggest factors for that I believe is due to electricity. Presenting the moon as an integral part of the creation along side the human fabrication has challenged my belief saying "so what if we have street lights and TVs, we can still look up cant we???"

I need to sit down and think now....

This is you. This is so you. ...

I run a homestay and I meet different people every week, mostly from cities. In the initial days I used to be puzzled to see people getting worried when the electricity goes. Later I realised that they have never seen complete darkness. Complete darkness is an alien thing. There will always be some kind of 'light' around them. So complete darkness brings fear.

Yes visual din...
