For all those nocturnal wild life, light is destructive !
Highways and urbanization not just eat up wildlife habitat, they make them blind too...
A great story, a creative image to show what we have been destroying.
I remember to have seen couple of images in CNP about light pollution, but this one has greater impact in the viewer about "light pollution".
This is a winner Karthik.

The elephant is just looking like an earthen-elephant- a toy-elephant, lifeless.......as if it were a statue erected in the memories of the elephant! And man is exactly doing everything possible to turn the situation like that....! RD is quite right with the words of his concern about wildlife......!

Thanks everyone for your feedback!

@Dinesh sir!

This image was made on the road which pierces through Bandipur forest. We entered the TN side of the gate by 8:30PM, assuming the traffic would be less.
But our assumption was wrong! In fact it was exactly the opposite. There were huge trucks and buses honking heavily, using high beam lights all through forest.
There were herds of elephants grazing along the sides of the road, so close one can actually touch the animal even without getting out of the vehicle. They were in good numbers.
There was this single Mother with her calf grazing on the road. The calf would constantly get disturbed by honks and the light and move behind the mother elephant, I decided to show this through an image!
I had planned an image but it would require to stop on road for a while. (This is not something like light trails of the vehicle).
Stopping on the road is illegal, so I decided to why not create a image which shows light in a destructive manner and this is how I ended up making this.

PS: The actual image which was planned is yet to be made, will have to wait for the right time and place!
