Aghanashini has a secret...
“Your mother has throat cancer!” The doctor told us one cold and wet evening last November. I did not know how to react! But she took it up bravely, with a smile. “You don't worry about me. I know I will be fine”, she said. I was amazed at her courage. What was her secret? How could she be so brave?

Our world is filled with brave mothers and ephemeral wonders!

There are wonders in nature which happen when just the right cosmic forces align, when everything is just right. Witnessing these wonders is like winning the jackpot. I had been chasing one of that sort for a little over 2 years. What was the secret behind this urge? What was driving me to go chasing after something that may or may not even happen?

While shooting the magic of Aghanashini that night the secret dawned on me. Mom & I were united, going our separate ways through the same path. I realized the secret ingredient she had powering her was the same secret ingredient that was driving me...

… BELIEF!

And it revealed itself in this stunning landscape…

Thanks for Believing!

Touching description to go with the fine image, Harsha. Is falls also lit by a warm light (torch?). The faint rainbow is very interesting. What time was it?

It was at 1am in the night Ganesh. No torch light was used, moonlight was sufficiently bright. Agree on the colour temperature, maybe I need to work on making it slightly more cooler to convey the mood of night better.

Yaa, One can feel the coolness of the moon....! Very mysterious place and nice description of it makes me curious to feel its vibe sitting silently there doing nothing.....! Thanks for sharing, Sir......

Exactly, Harsha. Slight cooler tones will add a lot. As seen on my display the water has a slight magenta cast.

Impressive work, Harsha! I'm just imagining how it would be if this can be captured in dudhsagar waterfalls(I still remember your master piece).

I'm just curious, ideally it should happen in any waterfalls right, of course mist spray, moon, clearsky & all other technical difficulties will be there.

Regards,
Prashanth

Prashanth Dudhsagar is not ideal for this as the falls is deep in the valley and would not get direct moonlight.

I visualize Buddha sitting in this image at the point where the flow of rivulet commences and the flow is ascending in the form of a spiritual energy to enlighten us with 'that unknowable' and 'that which is' in us.
