Monsoon was not quite upon us, but was close. we could smell it. engulfed by sandstorms, we'd swallowed sand, and seen wispy veils in the distance: Rain! The alates, the moths, the hoppers swarmed and faded, swarmed and faded, and swarmed again around hot lamps.
We crouched near a lamp, transfixed.
Mesmerized by their now-here-now-gone dance.

I like the way you have alternated the images. Thought that comes to me is ' in one of them you can see all of them ' and at the same time ' you could see all of them and have seen nothing '

love these warm brown glows, quite like the presentation in four frames, and "now here, now gone dance " it is indeed.
