(im)balance
One issue with respect to animal-human conflicts that has intrigued me for a long time is populations. The sheer population of us humans is the root problem of practically every problem the world faces today, especially those related to Nature. When I saw this unusual scene of hundreds of black kites occupying the skies above a ground teeming with human beings, the problem could not have been clearer. In Nature, we never see so many kites or other raptors, because there is balance. In society though, our numbers make way for increasing numbers of other species as Nature's mechanism of trying to balance things out. Ironically, that is what creates an imbalance and a never-ending conflict that cannot be solved (ethically).

P.S. I am not too sure if this picture entirely fits this forum. If it doesn't, please let me know and I will be happy to remove it. :)

Though we have more man made structures in the frame the nature (birds) seem to get enough emphasis. Silhouetted head seem to work well making us think about thoughts in that mind. The most appealing part to me is the contrasting aspect of static and dynamic elements of the frame. The slice of time is well portrayed - love those muted spectators (clothes) of time - the flying birds and the walking person. An intriguing frame for my taste buds..
