Hope amidst darkness
I had initially title the image based on a quote by Helen Keller ‘Faith is the strength by which a shattered world shall emerge into the light’. I changed it because I was not sure if I would be able to convey my thoughts.

While walking through a reserve forest I noticed a cut log, with bark-glue at the edges shining in the sunlight. Further away beneath the undergrowth's was a freshly bloomed flower, the sunlight was reaching it through the dense canopy. It was a very beautiful sight.

Was the flower able to bloom because the tree was cut?

Hi Sree kumar
A great life and death shot this! I see dew drops on the tree trunk as glimmers of hope. Flowers in the dark complete the plot with phoenix like presence.

Thumbnail does not seem to be doing any justice to this image. Nice contrast here. For me the tree blur is very appropriate and adds a nice contrast to the sharp flower. Very interesting image Sree kumar, nicely seen. Thanks for sharing..

A real good creative eye one should have to see and execute this kind of image! Brilliance is apparent here! wow! The cut tree and the sharp bright flowers contrast the mood so well that my imagination goes beyond the image! Thanks for sharing...

I think a visually well conveyed image here. There is certainly a great amount of creative thought process and you have pulled it off very nicely, the oof elements compliment the scene very well.
