end of the day
and end of the time for the blackbuck, probably was an easy prey for a lone wolf, who was dragging away the dead body in tall dry grass of velavdar national park. i was passing by in my car, the sight simply made me go down the road without any second thought (do wolf attack humans?). i waited for the sun to go down for right kind of light and colours in the sky.

thank you for your critics and ratings. sorry for the size, i am saving larger versions for my own website, someday.

regards,
nevil zaveri

Nice seeing here Nevil. If this were mine, I would emphasis the head and horn a bit more by cropping about 50% of dark area at the bottom and a few pixels at the top. This way the twisted patterns and trace of the face gets more highlighted. Love to see a larger version but then you have decided not to post larger ones :)

Nice seeing here and definitely something different. But would love to a larger version with the top 1/3 of the dark region cropped off.

Beautifully done here. Classic example in using end of the day situation.

A brilliantly seen and executed image! The color of the sky and the way the horn is standing in the frame make the image very special. Agree with others on a slightly larger version.

Very beautiful colors and nice execution here. I agree with others about cropping the dark region. People generally pack up after sunset and this is a classic example of making images after the sunset. Please do post larger versions going forward.

The solitary horn makes this image with the amazing skies here. I would certainly see the large one here and on your website (as and when it comes up) as well.

respected cnp moderators, critics, raters and viewers,

thank you very much for choosing my pic as 'image of the month'. i think, the greatest strength of cnp is the critics from the masters, personally. your critics is my greatest inspiration.

here, i personally don't think that cropping would do any good to the pic, except that will make my subject appear larger. i think, that dark -ve space is what enhances the coloured glow, that horn and add the required the contrast to the whole image. i already have your kind of image but this way i found better.

thank you once again. regards.
