Tadpoles with a 600mm
Whilst the rest shot with a shorter lens, I worked the biggie .
I did a little dodge & burn to even things out a little especially the reed on the top.

love this perspective Krish! The grains add so much quality to the image :)

Krish, It has worked very well here. I like it all the way. Grains add to the impact and beautiful B&W conversion. It was great meeting you.

Krish, this is amazing ! Very artistic use of grains and B&W works very well here. I like the fact that some of them are unsharp due to shallow dof. I agree fully with your decision on the reed above. May be some more burning/dodging to make it insignificant will further add. Also, I think grains on top shadow region appears to be a bit more on my wide gamut NEC display (109ppi not 72 or 96ppi) - not sure whether you can make it look perfectly fine for everyone :) Thanks for sharing.

very nice, krish! i worked on a tadpole image last night and came up with a very similar graphic representation :) As i worked on it i too felt adding noise and taking out the color worked well for my 300mm tadpoles -- and then, here's yours! we've almost shared a brain. i'll upload mine and you can see what i mean.

CNP might just have a tadpole series going - like the elephant series.
superb stuff. thanks,
:)a

1000's of tadpoles and 100's of perspectives :) I too liked the b & w conversion and the grains..

Krish, you know what? I am seeing it on my iPad now and it looks more grainy.. Looked much better on my wide gamut NEC display. I thought the issue of grain and sharpness is more for prints, we have it for displays too..this is frustrating..

Lovely graphical representation krish. 600mm definitely gives a different perspective compared to the images made with wider lens. Grains look artistic and gives a nice sand paper feel to the entire image.

Thanks everyone !

I particularly did not think this was much creative and was actually going to dump the shot till, I added a little grain. Then it became a bit workable.
@Ganesh, I just saw this on the ipad, gaaak was my reaction ! And my NEC 2690Wuxi2 monitor has 88.7 ppi !
