Strands
Toyed with several border and outline styles, have a long way to go in understanding the aesthetics of adding a canvas :)

Radz, i'm going to stick my neck out here and say what is in my mind. It may be utter rubbish :) so i'd wait for the gurus to chime in if i were you!

at first glance, i love the white and grey, the muted tones... i can imagine something like this on a large white or grey accent wall in a contemporary home.

and then my mind started to look for something, it made me uneasy. the strands are shooting out in different directions, but not radiating - you see what i mean? they are criss crossing and that makes my mind look for some order. i dont know how that can be achieved - maybe you have a different shot of the flower, something which radiates, like this.../ i cropped your image a bit to show you what i mean ... i dont mean you should crop this one :)

this is purely my take and i am a novice at this :) oh and i think you may have cracked the border - it looked very easy on the eye :)
let's see what the others say...
A

Excellent frame for me in every possible way Radha. Love those strands specially, the way they are directed into the chaos. The way the chaos eases out as the eye moves towards the right of the frame creates a very soothing effect. The black dots all over the frame is really looking great. Brilliant, Thanks for sharing......

I like the sprinkled black dots there - makes a very soothing design Radha. I think the thinner out border can be a bit more darker ? Keep it as is if that works for you ! Thanks for sharing.

Wonderful use of shallow dof! I infact like the chaos here and find the right hand side a bit distracting (maybe because it's brighter than rest of the image). Beautiful image nevertheless! :)

After staring at it for some time, I kind of think those dancing dots gives a feminine quality to this image ! Any takers ? :)

Radha, it is a beautiful image. Love the soft shading and the gradual smooth transition from dark to light. Very good depth-of-field and the little black dots are scattered prettily across the frame. This image is pleasing to the eye and pleasing to the mind too.

@Arati - Thank you for the feedback girl, appreciate it! :) I like the crop you suggested, but I had already made an image earlier with an eye-level view of the petals. So, I decided to try a head-on shot this time around.

@Ganesh - Thank you :) I tried a black outline on the image too, I'll post it in the illustration forum. I love the way you call the image 'feminine' :-))

@Nilanjan-da, @Nevil, @Sarang, @Saritha - Thank you, all :)

Looks like an exploding blackhole... (Instead of colapsing into its own intense gravity).. Amazing

A very beautiful image Radha. Using dots and making this image is real creative. DoF is playing very well and fantastic.
