Standing out
I noticed this tree standing alone on this lovely textured Granite slab separated from its native forest. It was like an Outcast put there for some unfathomable crime it had committed. Why, I thought, is it all alone by itself, when all the others are all huddled up?

Then I wondered why do I think the tree is unhappy because its alone? Is it because I am unhappy when I am alone? Maybe it is there because it found the spot to be congenial and also offered a much better view of the Lakes and the distant hills below, so standing out is not a bad thing after all.

Funny how one lonely tree Standing Out can make you ask if your glass is half empty or half full???

Thanks for looking

Hi Harsha,
Your depiction makes me think how sorrounding elements huddle around the "outcast" casting it in one protective embrace. Love the way you've turned the idiom around.
