The green on green composition, with the starkly contrasting eyes and slight motion blur, is beautiful.

Very nice composition Raviprakash! Reminds me of Adithya Biloor's similar creation, but from the front. The popped out eye steals the show here.

Lovely composition Ravi.. A beautiful, rich, wet shade of green :) But its all about the eye here, so apt that it should be in the center of the frame..

Thanks!

Hi Ravi,
This one's a killer!! Is the guy a pet or what ;) posing for you wherever whenever ;)
Love the way it looks part branch part flower and part itself. It's tremendous seeing. Bravo Ravi!!

Lovely framing here, Ravi. That eye is captivating. Though the snake is facing away, I somehow feel that that eye is watching/staring at us! Amazing effect. TFS.

Thanks for all your comments and views.

@Ramesh - I think the eyes will have 180 degree coverage.. we can make out in this pic http://raviprakash.co.in/displayimage.p ... play_media" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

@Nirlep - ha ha..Not a pet, but these snakes are Pet subjects :) Whenver i visit my native during pre-monsoon & monsoon season, my father helps me finding these friendly snakes around our house, mostly in some vegetable plants.. ounce of CNP Syrup helped me to come up with few new perspectives during my last visit:) I do have another one in the series :)

The choice of dof and the focus on contrasting eye sets this apart Ravi. As I said earlier would have considered placing the a little bit towards top right side of the frame. Goes well with our monsoon theme too ! Thanks for sharing.

This is wonderful, Ravi! Just love the point of view, also the thin DOF. Believe me I never got a chance to shoot this beauty. Is it full frame, if not I would have tempted to go for vertical crop. TFS.

Its the contrasting and popping-out eye that makes this image for me. The depth is awesome too. Rarely does one see the image of snakes made from this angle, very different perspective, good seeing here. Thanks for sharing.

I have a similar image, shall post it some time. Agree with others on higher placement of the eye.

Superb, Ravi!
just lovely. i would also have framed it slightly more off center, but apart from that, i simply love the tones here. this creature is breathtaking as it is, and you have brought it out in an avatar that heightens that beauty.

you seem to specialize in brilliant greens :)
great monsoon image... thanks for this!
