Looks like a tree in the wind Nevil. Loved the patterns formed.

I initially thought this to be a tree's reflection. Wonderful image. Lovely patterns here

Spectacular patterns here, are they algae? Could you explain more? Thanks

Commentby Samyak on Mon Jul 09, 2012 2:52 pm

Excellently seen and taken, Nevil.
the tree like structure formed due to algae is really looks like a trees reflection in water.
The patterns came out pretty well.

TFS.

Is it an aerial image or a close up Nevil ? The curves among the predominant green works well. The abstract appeal is very nice. Thanks for sharing.

thanks everyone for comments 'n curiosity.

indeed ganesh, this is almost an ariel view and real tree reflection turned upside down. fortunately, the sky was fully covered with dark monsoon clouds with a band of bright cloudless area .. i just managed to overlap thin algae patch, brighter sky & tree trunk reflection together. the water must be stale 'n turbid, hence the flow of patterns.

regards.

Lovely greens there Nevil. I would have composed it excluding the white patches considering only the top curves. . . may be my right brain is relatively less developed ;-)

Hi Nevil,
I read poetry in your images. Always. You leave the viewer light, suspended. meanings briefly form and dissolve. Visual maintains its autonomy. This one does it yet again. I see interactions of ground and space. A tree grows into space or space grows into a tree. Top to bottom or bottom to top whichever way I look I leave the frame undecided. That's the magic of poetry. It touches but one knows not where.

thanks once again, everyone.

@nirlep,
i always wish that my images can please you & your words on it is always one of the greatest reward i get for my images. i always find your words take images to a step higher!, be it mine or anybody else.

@pramod,
yes, i see you & adithya biloor go for pure/true abstract where beauty of forms, texture & colours are the final goal; whereas, i prefer to keep hint of something recognizable. you can read my discussion regarding the same with adithya, in the comment @ gallery/image_page.php?album_id=1&image_id=6900

Ah Nevil, this is wonderful creation. Those greens really needed some artists' touch to come to light as art pieces, you made a midas touch here.

Great image and excellent seeing Nevil.. Abstract tree and green theme is a clear "art" winner.

Beautiful abstract here. White portion adds extra dimension to the image.

Nevil, enjoying this as a pure visual abstract...

i wish this picture was mine. it is my wallpaper now, never seen such a shot. It has so much to offer, so many interpretations, so poetic, as the green algae forms those silent swirls completing the trees form. loved it to the core.
maybe cropping it from the lower end would make it more striking and to the point.
thanks for sharing sir.
