Everything seems to have come to a stand still in this image. The butterfly which used to flutter by from flower to flower under trees and on the wind has all stopped. The image signifies to me in a very strong way on how things end.
A very powerful image IMO.

Looks like entire world has come to stand still...So many different elements stopping to tell a story... Great seeing.

i saw this as soon as you posted it, and have come back to it many times since. The "Remains of the Day" is what repeatedly chimes in my mind when i see this frame. Every day has a legacy ~ some poignant, some thrilling, some matter-of-fact... all beautiful.
To capture it takes an eye, yes, but more than that -- it takes a heart... and i see that heart in this image, Nirlep.

will stay with me, this one.

A gust of wind left Kolkata early morning today carrying your signature which will reach Bhatinda tomorrow :-). It was good to have the nice and fresh aura of youth for a few hours. By the way, this son of yours has given up eating, he eats only one meal a day and has lost weight and am fearing that the gust of wind blowing in Punjab might make him air borne and carry him somewhere else :-). I suggest lock him indoors when the breeze changes gears....jokes apart, lovely image here. We were discussing a lot of stuff yesterday, techniques in creativity vs the art of seeing etc. Make him read about Huzun, though many theories exist about it, I particularly like the Turkish expression. Pamuk is one such gust of wind which can blow every stillness of the mind into motion....well emotion I mean :-).

By the way, put some passport images in his bag :-), I have never seen a more creative entry back to his country in my life. Told him that we are getting old, but still it's too early to take pills to prevent heart attacks...:-)...

I always liked 'easiness' in your images. There is no hurry to make images, there is no pressure on self to make images. It looks as if you have made image on long leisurely walk. You don't find the frames, frames find you. At the first look images looks simple without any thought process, but as I stop and stare again and again meaning, or rather experience unfolds and enfolds.
Are you a Zen practitioner?

What a PERFECT choice for image of the month. I was very happy to see this go up. It has a je nais se quoi quality to it, a fragility that is endearing and intriguing at the same time. Stays with me still.

lovely, Nirlep!
congrats :)
