Seven Colored Earth
Made this in May this year at Mauritius. One of those times when something with amazing nature history background has a artistic flavor to it. Some more information on this in my blog.

Diagonal movement of curves and nice tonal ranges is very pleasing here Mahesh. Wish nature offered you a little bit less of contrasting patches here and there. Probably those will get subdued in b&w (I am not sure, you may want to try it out). Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Ganesh. One additional point with this image is at the time of making the image what appealed was the flow of curves and colors. At the time of processing i noticed the stroke of sand on the second mound from the bottom. It suddenly reminded me of the making of "Mindtree" logo long back ( about 10 years back ).

Looking at it from this aspect changed the view point totally. I remember reading about how chetan a student of spastic society of karnataka with cerebral palasy had designed the company logo for mindtree. I was moved about the story when i read it at that time. Looking from this new point of view the original appeal based on curves and color some how got diluted. It is amazing how the way we feel about an image changes drastically once it becomes a reminder or builds a connection to an existing emotion.

aaah brings back memories of my visit to chamarel. beautiful colors, contours. i rather like the imperfections too. Smart composition to not get any of that rather ugly fence they have there ... very soothing image. it would be interesting to see the tones in BW too ...
thank you!
