You made my day Bharat :-). May be opening up to show the bare tree a bit more can be considered, but this is like a dream shot. Am waiting for Ganesh's suggestion on how to better process this image but the theme is just perfectly reflected. Loved the caption as well. Brilliant man !!!

This is just too good. I've always wanted to make an image like this where the dry barren tree branches creep towards the rain clouds begging for some rain. Don't think this image can be beaten. Great drama. I might only consider going for a vertical compo emphasizing the dry trees reaching for the rain clouds, of course including the tender beam of light to the left of the trees. Awesome.

Superb image Bharath. On my monitor for my eyes, the lower part of the image is dark, i believe opening up the image a bit will give a better feel.

Thank you all for your kind views.

Nilanjan ji & Vikas - Yes, its problem with the laptop monitor which is my only digital darkroom device atm. The trees and bit of light rays are moderately defined but when I had checked on a better monitor, it looked slightly under exposed. Hope to settle down with better darkroom setup soon. And yes, eager to know to Ganesh's view as always.

Saravana - Good to know that, I am sure you will come with splendid image someday which will be unique in its own way. Actually, I should had mentioned it as Thirsty "for Light" in description. These (old couple) trees are actually sprouting from water but having experienced overcast winter days continuously, to me they looked to be thirsty for light. I have tried to depict the thirst for light in the whole image by itself and tiny amount of light rays falling to be similar to last drops of water being consumed by a thirsty person who expects more to come out of the water source. I had made Awaiting few years back where the barren tree was thirsty and begging the clouds for water. Good and happy to know your views, cheers.

I agree, opening up the region of tree (alone) might add to this frame Bharath (just a bit, not much ! ). You have a fine lighting here.
