Nice patterns here, maybe a little dof and ofcourse wishing for a parallel placement of the sensor would be asking for too much. I see the top half is affected by the dof issue

Thanks VMR. The image happens to be a tiny portion of the forehead of an African elephant! Wondering how they manage with so many small crevices on their huge bodyI Could have avoided the out of focus area by cropping but decided against it. Cheers.

Completely echo VMR's suggestions, if you read John Shaw's books,u wud realize how important it is to keep the subject parallel to the film plane in such situations.

When I first saw this image I thought the image is not fully loaded and waited for a few minutes, later realised that it is due to dof :)
Completely agree with others on better dof. Also something to break the symmetry would have added, I guess.
