JOI DE VIVRE..the joy of living
Washed ashore,in death ,
This little shell speaks, of patterns of a lost life..
A richly woven tapestry of vibrant colours,
Secrets of..
The deep, the blue, the sea, the wind, crashing waves, the surf,
The earth , the sky,
Walking in and out of this musical orchestra of colours,
A visual symbol of my life,... I hear..
Joy,ecstacy,excitement,dreams,fantasies and beyond…
The precious gift of
Life..

If these are the expressions of the colors in death of a world we do not know about, then am wondering what could be the expressions when it's full of life ? The underwater world is a mystery still for my mind. Am not at all experienced about it's richness, but understanding from your lines, I could very well feel that the world above was only enriched in death, an enrichment which could not have happened in life for the purpose of the patterns and these colors have designed by god to blend with the secrets of life beneath the ocean. I envy those who have seen both the world. The natural world is truly the greatest art canvas and you have been so lucky to witness it Neelu. Am so happy for you. Thanks for sharing it.

Aaaah this is the MoP image! Very nice colors indeed. Lovely "nacre"
And nicely processed to fade to dark. Reminds me of a silk scarf!

Thanks - really nice macro capture neelu. Glad u got this chance.

Ganesh, this is an abalone shell, mother of pearl family...which usually has irridiscent colors..washed ashore..which i chanced on.. macro..and multiple exposure.. tried to give to give it a watery wavey feel.

Nilanjan, hmm the dance of life and death will always be a mystery,

THESE ARE THE EXPRESSSIONS OF LIFE...but REVEALED TO US IN DEATH...

Arati, Radha, thanks..yep silk scarf it does remind one of.. made a lot of images of shells..the colourfull and the not so colorful.
arati...the mother of pearl.. is mostlly irridiscent pinks and browns and lemon yellows and pale blues..i think the multiple exposures have added the richness.and softness.
the strong blues and greens and turquoise..aquas .. of this shell make it special...

Just out of curiosity, may I ask Neelu what prompted you for multiple exposure here ? Interesting approach actually but am really curious to know why ? I have often done multiple exposures due to various reasons, and I just want to see if such reasons did appear in your mind too while you made this image :-).

"Joy,ecstacy, excitement, dreams, fantasies and beyond…" It spoke exactly of Mind to me. A very beautiful decryption of the mind itself.

This is the third time i am watching this. I do not know if it is an irony or scarce put on us but I can see a face, its hair, its eyes, and yet I lose it. It is not only a face but a being floating on an eternal river. I believe this is the playfulness of abstraction versus the tune of our brain. Amazing.

Honestly I don't know how to respond to this frame...there are some many emotions getting evoked hitherto unknown thru the process of visualization...
thanks for sharing this buddy...Its indeed an experience!!

Thanks for the info Neelu. A large print will really look very ornamental on a wall ! Try printing it on a Baryta or Pearl kind of paper (preferably Hahnemuhle Photo Rag Baryta or Hahnemuhle Photo Rag Pearl). Make two small prints on these two papers see what you like more and then get a large print done. I would think it should work very well on Hahnemuhle Photorag Pearl.

Ganesh, thanks for the guidance on printing.. will take up ur suggestion, i think i shall put it up on my wall.
since its over two plus years that i have been photographing, was waiting to build up a body of work, before i start looking at printing, looks like these colors
earned their rights on my wall ...will do, will do. Jois de vivre ..it is.

Soham,...thanks.."playfulness of abstraction" , how well u have emoted the essence of these colors flowing gloriously, interesting observations by you. thanks.

abhisek, thanks for your expressions, as valuable as the colors themselves.

Nilanjan,..to answer your questions.."why the multiple exposure".....i think it was a totally intuitive innate decision.i didnt think twice , i visualized this shell in life , sitting on the ocean depths, with water flowing softly, and the emotions it evoked in me...
would love to hear your reasons

like a washing away palette of an impressionist, neelu .. so enriched with blues (aquas) 'n subtle shapes to surface soon! OR say fantasy of colours.

regards.
