Excellent Nevil ! Blurred wings among wavy reeds sets a fine mood here. Wish the fourth bird below were as undefined as the above three :)

thank you ganesh for suggestion, i felt that 'sharped one' makes it! btw, those are rosy starling flight trails, not reeds.

thanks again.

WOW even I wa under the assumption that the lines were grass reeds. Seeing it now as starlings elevates this picture even more! The Ibis flying through the starlings makes for a fine way of presenting these two birds. But I still fail to see how you want to present the leaves and wind with this images. Seeing the starlings as reeds would answer that though.

thank you sriharsha. yes, i wanted starling to be viewed as reeds or thin hanging branches, to justify my thought process. there are more images/ways to come in this series ..

Nevil, its a charming image, its amazing that starling flight has a similar look to blurred reeds.
and i did wonder how you have got different degrees of blur, in one image...the "reeds" and the 4 birds.i guess its the different speeds that they were flying at????

i paritcularly like the way different directional movements of a veiwers gaze is induced in this frame, from bottom to upwards along the "reeds" and from right to left along the direction of the 4 birds flying across,
a tug of war in a way.. creating a happy subtle tension there...while one repeately and involuntarily moves ones gaze over and over, in the suggested direction... adding a great dynamics to the image..very alive.. lovely.

And how beautiful you thought Nevil! It must've been tough for Ibises? to keep their calm amidst such frenzy :)
Thanks for sharing and looking forward to see more from your recent musings.

I was a little confused when I read wavy reeds....wonderful image here Nevil. Those starling flight trails spread over the entire frame has changed the entire get up of the image. Brilliant decision to go slow here, even slower would have worked I guess. Gujarat is special and Jamnagar in Feb is the place to be....Excellent image !!!

thanks neelu, nirlep 'n nilanjan for words. yes, i could have gone slower but then i also wanted something recognizable/sharper relatively.

This is excellent. How you 'fooled' the viewer to think those are reeds.
The ibises are really what making the image in all this chaos.
Got your 'autumn' thing now ! Very well presented...

TFS.
