lovely scape with dusky tones 'n floral sun, arati. like the way scape gets burned from darker bottom/foreground blur.

Hi Arati,
Very interesting image! Those streaks are smoke, haze or sand surging up?
Thanks for sharing

Thanks Nilanjan Da, (haha no enlightenment, ya - not yet!) Radha, Nevil, Swapnil, and Nirlep.

hi nirlep: that is grass ... there was a slightly high outcropping of grass through which you could see the sun .... and made this image.

Arati, Excellent image. Wondering how a vertical crop will work!
Cheers

Thanks Ganesh and Srini.

Srini: this is full frame and i did not shoot a vertical, unfortunately :) So short of cropping this one, there is no option here. What i liked was the crescendo of dark rising towards the right in the frame, which i suspect would be lost in a vertical crop...

Thanks,
A

arati, what i find really interesting in this lovely frame...is the slight tilt from left to right upwards...of the "smouldering " grass...and that the sun is not sharp, clear and round, probably swaying blurred grass has added the effect.. very very nice.

For me this image talks about a burning passion kept ablaze against a thousand engulfing odds...an optimist's statement of life!! TFS Arati...
On a side note..Nilanjan-da has been talking about going to DNP for quite some time now...guess the choice of next winter is going to be difficult in between Corbett or DNP :)

What a wonderful interpretation, abhisek. Thanks for that.
It breathes an alternate life into the image.
I doubt i'll ever be able to see the image now without thinking of your words :)
Many thanks, these sparks are what set cnp apart.
