Guess?
This is something you dont normally see. I was intrigued by it, and made an image.

Any guesses? :)

Hint: No, nothing to do with elephants!

But for DoF an elegant image and an ideal wall hanger. But actually I do not mind shallow DoF. Square crop suites.

Thank you Shankar and Ganesh.

And for others that are wondering:
it is the very delicate underside of a camel's foot. Looks like cracked rubber/leather, or a bald tire ... but is soft. And it grows sore walking on harsh, hard or poky surfaces - and slips on mud. Made for walking on sand.

:) found it intriguing when i caught sight of it, because, if you notice, when a camel sits, its soles are always tucked inside ... you never really see this, unless a camel is lying down.

It's so much like custard apple peel. I was about to say when you killed the suspense ;)

Initially I felt it was crack on the skin resembling the cracks of the ground as we can see in LRK or GRK. but then was not sure Arati. Hmmm, the endless and untiring journeys of a camels....those cracks so beautifully have shown it Arati. Wonderful image, somewhere in my mind I can so well relate to the toughness of the land and the footpads of the camels merging as one to narrate the story of a journey. Enjoyed it dear.

Thank you Nirlep and Nilanjan Da.
Sorry Nirlep :) it is an eternal struggle inside of me - to reveal or not to. In this case, as Nilanjan Da has so rightly hit it, the cracks and the structure is so integral to what it is used for, that i thought it made sense to reveal to this group.

I am getting increasing intrigued by the beauty in microstructures and how their essential structure is what determines their use. Of course, maybe it is more natural history than creative, but the inherent perfection (what attention to detail, O Nature!) in those tiny "designs" blows me.

thanks again!
