While the image has great tones and visuals to appeal, has an emotion of sadness, i am not sure if the image depicts the future. While the bold tusks take the attention, the streaks running across the image does not make me think anything, why those lines ? You may choose to answer or not, in the end creator has the idea of creation and a critique just comments

I like it for the way it is. The presence of the matriarch on the Left over looking her heard is the USP and the presentation of the image is new for me and there are a lot of ways the image can be interpreted.

Love the 'negative like' appeal of the 'positive' An interesting feel.

About where it fits, here in this thread we stated the approximate guideline - abstracts and monotones go to nature as art gallery. The rest (mostly nature as is kind of unique images go to creative visions). That said, nothing to worry much ! When in doubt post where ever *you* think it fits. The purpose was to ensure non-abstract creative visions of nature gets its due credits !

You have created a very strong visual here, Neelu. That subdued tone adds so much more to it. TFS.

Neelu, i loved the effect that you have got here, is it only achieved using a camera shake?
I feel your image description perfectly fits the image, i can feel the emotion in the eye of the matriarch.

Prithvi, thanks, yes its totally achieved in camera, only tweaked tones,hues and contrast etc.. i did try several ways,some hits and some misses, very difficult to acheive a particular result , especially wildlife, which is so dynamic and fleeting in nature, no retakes there, but thats whats so challenging and exciting na?

thats a very gripping image neelu the faded bodies of elephants adds so much to the title of the image , and great effect created too

very interesting image...liked the effect created by the blur.....i feel bit of cropping form the left side would add to the composition....the composition would become strong by this i feel.....

Wow! This is an amazing work, Neelu. The thought process behind this image makes it even more special. Love the two elephants in the back, and their tusks. I feel this may look even better in monochrome.

Praveen, tried the crop as suggested, it does add,in a different way, my reason for allowing the matriarch to cover large part of the frame, is to express the importance of a matriarch and her role in herd dynamics and decisions, or at least tried to.
Prashant, agree Monochrome has its own appeal, and i have done a version, but posted the coloured one here, as the muted colours,are my weakness, and thought it would be refreshing too.
