Rocky Peak
After several months I managed to process few images. This large rock peak is heaven for Rock climbers in Boulder, CO area. I managed to cover the Sun largely behind the peak with few under exposure. Shot at 17mm wide angle. Sorry you may find slight noise traces when look closely. Love to know your views.

Delighted to see your post, Shankar. What makes this image for me is the 'sun burst'. Looks adorable and divine to my eyes. Going for a silhouette composition is another way of looking at the scene different. Beautiful image. Wanting for more images from Boulder, CO. So please do process more images and share them across. Am sure there are tonnes of hidden gems in your storage.

Nice to see you back in action Shankar! Liked the image for the small 'starry effect' of the Sun... I am wondering how does it look if you have gone to make is more 'starry' (may be around f/22)... and I would have opened up a tad more(may be very slightly more) on the edges of the boulder to make is a bit more definitive than the current black domination...waiting for more images from your side...

The sunburst is really special here, Shankar. I liked the steep and subtle hint of the mountain in the shadows. Perfect for my taste.

Love to be back in action with you all !
Ashwin, This is at f/8. Yes I could have tried with f/22 but I was shooting handheld.
Ramesh, Shot in manual exposure mode with F/8, 1/800sec, ISO 100. I think it must be 2 to 4 stops under when compared to inbuilt camera expousure meter.

This is a class image Shankar !!! The way the dark patch of the mountains clearly stands out from the dark sky and the play of the light from the sun on the edges are depicted here is just awesome. Superb Vision. I would actually love to see the various grades of exposure to just get a feel which one would look best in a print :). May be this one here only....

Welcome back Shankar - nice to see you posting back.
As soon as i saw the thumbnail - the immediate thing that struck to me was - wow this is something cool and different - who is this ... and its you.
The composition - The Tint of blues - The Starburst - everything makes this something really unique for me.
Probably opening a bit more of the sky to show some more amount of blue helped ? ( - its just me who thinks like this ;) - )
As pramod says - we want to see some more hidden gems in your storage - keep them coming.

I agree with all of you on opening up the image. It looks like my monitor caliberation issue here. I newly acquired i1 display 2 and still struggling to set it up for brightness, Polarized blue colour etc.
