- Life in Cold Desert -
Scanning through ESS section of NPN today morning i bumped into this beautiful intimate by Guy Tal - Wind Patterns - href="http://www.naturephotographers.net/imagecritique/ic.cgi?a=vp&pr=131487&CGISESSID=5a992820e886f4f28d5acf4dfe5668f9&u=7177
It reminded me of an image of a small shrub i made in the sand dunes of Nubra valley.
For me the contrasting picture of Lifeless ( ? ) Sand and the Fresh Shrub along with the patterns in the top makes the image. The small foot track of a bird on the right half of the frame adds to the image and also gives the sense of what i want to communicate in the subject which is - LIFE IN COLD DESERT.
Would love to know your views on it.

Shiva, you know what makes this pic great for me? Its the foot prints. True the sand has a lovely patterns the shrub and its shadow provide a nice anchor point, but its those foot steps that encourage your imagination to look deeper into the image. I have always been a big fan of images with deep hidden meanings and this is definitely one of the best. The unseen bird is obviously the hero here and I must say its a Very well executed image

Love these patterns in the sand. Agree with Harsha on the anchor point. Very nice image.

:) I love that place for this :D and this is what you get when you go there! When you are back you feel delighted for being there and start missing the place so much that you feel you never wanted to be here but yearn to be there! That is an image which represents the place like it is!
