Woolly-necked storks
I tried to work out a composition using curves and contrast. Love to know your thoughts !

Thanks to Samad who showed me this, while driving towards Daroji..

so much said in so simple an image! I just love the image! Very very different

absolutely reduced to very essence of minimalitic plus abstract shot, ganesh, with such a loud impact. what i love most is the extreme contrast in light as well as the combination of forms, very basic to complex. needless to say, one of the finest one from you.

it also reminds me of your old shot - 'mynas over the elephant', one of my very favourite.

tfs. regards.

Love that minimalist approach here, Ganesh. Somehow the white BG hits the eye. May be retaining a light gray BG might soften it a bit, IMO. Not sure whether you tried that. TFS.

Not sure toning down BG would help Ramesh. I wanted it bright to emphasize the curvature of the rock and render it and birds as silhouttes. Will definitely try and experiment..

Lovely composition... Would make a great print for sure... Would it have been better had there been slightly better details on the rocks and the cranes?

An amazingly simple yet a powerful composition! I would go with bright background as it emphasis the shape better...

its an interesting concept but i think composition is off. i would have liked to see the line of birds more 1/3 from bottom than the current 1/4 or 1/5
