Man and Nature
I made this image at Corbet NP an year back. I tried to subtly emphasize man and nature in this image. Love to know your thoughts..

Beautiful shot Sir. I think I have used the same tree stump in one of my Corbett images as well but my image looks nothing like this. Mine is more of a landscape with the stump in a corner. Shows how the same subject can be worked around in different ways to get entirely different results.

Ganesh for me, this is one of your best images till date! I can never forget the feeling that I experienced when I saw this image for the first time! It has got amazing punch in it! The cut tree stump, the grassblades on the floor, the distant mountains, the clody sky in the corner, the 'about to rain' atmosphere on the left and yet a hint of clear sky on the right, the colors and the tonality.... everything is just fantastic! Thanks Ganesh for making this image and sharing it across.

Simple and powerful. The elevation seems to add a lot to the image. The black border for the image in some sense seems to limit the vastness feeling the image has. May be a border aligned with the background in the image might be better.

very powerful image, ganeshji. just enough to say about human deeds towards nature. emptiness around and this dominant subject conveys your message with greatest impact.

regards.

Very simple & beautiful composition with just the minimum elements in the frame. Loved that vertical cracks in the tree trunk. Lovely warm tones in the grass in FG. Just purely a personal taste - I would have liked the image more without the clouds in the sky... (strange it might sound :) )

Simple yet full of impact. The texture of the clouds, tree and grass compensate really very well. A very unique perspective for sure.

Here is my interpretation of this image Ganesh:

The perspective used is wide, which makes me want to look far out at the grasslands and the mountains (the color and tone of which is inviting to the eye); But as i attempt to see afar, the stump, stumped me. It does not allow the natural flow of sight. Then, I look at the stump and see that it is after all something worth looking at. Now, the stump in itself can be interpreted differently, but I would like to stick to mine...

In life, we all look for things that are far out, the green grass, when what we want may be right in front, glaring at us.
