Beautiful...loved the texture and grading. Dark is the Heart of the image.

Prithvi, what makes this image special is its texture and those scary looking shapes which resemble the pile of human skull! Amazingly seen image! Kudos from my side!

@ Ganesh - An image of the same phenomena was posted by Nirvair few months back. There is an explanation on the pattern as well. Here is the link:

Thanks for sharing this image Prithvi!

Thank you Ashwini for the link.
I did shoot the cresent shaped shadows also, this particular image was shot when the moon was exiting, which explains the thicker shadows when comapred to the cresent shape.

Sheer brilliance!! Wonderfully seen and captured, Prithvi! Reminded me of holocaust victims for some reason..!

i understand the shadows, but fail to understand the texture ?
it does look like pile of skulls one carefully looks at it as pointed by Ashwini.
Amazing!

Dinesh, the texture is a result of the tar on the road.

How about a non-black border frame Prithvi ? I did make this comment earlier since I was seeing the image on my un-calibrated laptop display (now on a calibrated display). Edges seem to merge with the border thus diluting the impact a bit.
