Thanks for sharing it VMR sir. Seeing at the caption, I feel that you wanted to emphasize on the textured detail of tree trunk. Considering that I am torn between whether or not the inclusion of butterfly is necessary to make this image work. In a real world, if texture or patterns are primary design elements of the image, then any other object that stands-out differently should be avoided in my opinion. However for this particular image, I think, even though there is fair amount of textured detail on the bark, its orientation may not be good enough to hold viewer’s eye for long. That way the butterfly with its contrasting colour helps to overcome visual monotony. I think you did the right thing to make it work. Overall a very impressive shot.

The textures in the tree trunk is providing a perfect BG to the moth. The monochromatic trunk helps in having no distraction. Am viewing on my office monitor (non-calibrated) where I feel the feathery head/thorax of the moth could take some more sharpening to make it pop.
An alternate crop that comes to my mind is leaving out the left half of the frame and retaining just the right half (with few adjustments to place the moth). But that's just another way.

VMR sir I loved the contrasting colors, the lines in the bark lead my eyes up and down the image, occasionally bringing me to the moth. There are a few spots (in blue/ dark blue) which distracted me, any idea what they are?

Its all in seeing and well seen here. The patterns of the bark adds a nice contrast here VMR.

Nicely juxtaposed, VMR sir. Liked the lighting. How about sharpening the butterfly?
