Amazing pattern and details captured Radha! Very interesting anle and DOF.. How about off-center placement or Square crop as suggested by Adithya.

Nice perspective with contrasting b/g, a bit more depth and vertical compo would have added.

Very nice one here, I would have loved to see a little bit of the habitat here.

Santhosh, Ravi, Vikram - Thank you for the feedback! A square crop was the first thing I tried, but it felt very tight and constricted, so decided to go with some space in the frame. When I shot the image, the DOF seemed fine on the LCD, but noticed details only much later on a bigger screen, my bad and lesson learned

VMR - Thank you! The mushroom was very tiny, after some unhappy shots and attempts to shoot it with the habitat, I gave up and stuck to macros. But I have some habitat shots in mind that I must go back to shoot

Adithya, Nirlep - This mushroom was on the tip of a branch, among the leaf litter. I had to lie down flat to shoot it, and discovered a leech party on my tshirt when I stood up The world of mushrooms is wonderful

Just wondering how it wud look to have a real wide angle shot of a group of mushrooms from the underneath... wud be truly rewarding if u can get one i guess... just my thoughts...

Very intriguing pattern Radha. Personally I would prefer a wider angle to give a feel of the habitat. Liked the nice soft light on the subject.
