Ganeshji, this was the maximum I could reach standing on top of a gypsy. The elephants being on a higher ground than where the gypsy was standing also made it look much taller.

Thanks Everyone!! :) Nirlep ji, this is not a multple exposure image. The halos are actually created by off-focus leaves and branches.

Thanks Sriram!! Thanks Shankar!! Thanks Nirlep ji! I initially tried to crop it keeping more on the top portion but then finally settled for this one. I have another one with a single rhino with some water below. I will process that and share shortly :) Thanks again for all your suggestions!!

I liked this image and it really has the haze of a dream in it..I think a little bit detail on one or two birds in the left would have added more. However, this stands out well too :)

Nilanjan da, The very first thing I noticed in this photo is the great resemblance between the horn and the tree trunk. They are both complementing each other. Also, the density of the leaves and its darkness is creating a hollowness in my mind...as if it is telling us the story of the blackbuck's tragic future..This image has really shaken me...

Thanks Nilanjan da for sharing this. Well.. to be very honest I did not have the curiosity to understand the monochrome well while asking for the colored version. This monochrome version no doubt stands out unique. The first time I saw this image somehow I created a colored version of it in my mind. I just wanted to compare between the actual image and the one created in my mind... :)

Nil da, now I can relate to your post in facebook last night. This is so strange but true that we all have our own story in life and how we all draw strength and inspiration from them, consciously and sometimes subconsciously. And finally our thoughts end up in creating such amazing pieces of art. Hats off Sir!!!

Thanks Nil da!! Ganesh sir, from next post you wont get to see this signature anymore :D I have a question though...does the frame distract anyhow? If that is so, no frames going forward. However i personally like images in proper frames.. :)

Nilanjan da, thanks much for such a detailed explanation :D .... I know Praveen bhaiya since the time I started taking interest in this art of photography...he has been a constant source of inspiration for me..i have been following his works since then.. :) I remember consulting many a time with him before buying any cam or lens, and even a discussion before joining CNP. He is a great man with a great vision!! :) A very Happy New Year to you and all the other CNP members!!

Nilanjan da, thanks! Ganesh ji, thanks..the spot is not due to a grain but rather a mark left while cloning a reed in the water. I did not notice it in my non-calibrated monitor at first instance. Praveen bhaiya, if by nature photography you mean putting nature as subject and other relative objects in the background then for sure it does not fit this forum. But I took the shot with a different perspective. Human nature connection always fascinats me and the sight of the boats emerging from a dense fog over the river gave my brain a tranquil feel and reminded me of the very existence of nature even in its objective absence. May be I am not able to convey my thoughts through this image properly then... if you still think this does not suits the forum I would not mind to delete it.

Vikas...I personally think that something is missing... and that something could have been anything which could have directed the eye properly through the picture.

Well I have a reason behind this title. I watched this boatman for quite sometime and he was sitting in this exact posture all through out. He was not fishing...not sure what actually he was doing...but he definitely seemed to be lost in some deep thoughts. The silence of the place and his behavior echoed and that's why I concluded his life must have come to a stagnant point just like the surrounding..

This is amazing! one really cannot take his eyes off it suddenly. It really creates a mystery and a soothing affect at the same time. I would have just cropped a slight portion from the left... Wonderful creation!
