A friend of mine talks about the paddy fields behind his farm where these lovely birds spend time. Have always wanted to see this scene, and this image seems the exact representation of the picture I had in my head, hearing his words!

Brilliantly done! Love the way that stone slab in the background balances out the compo!

Clutter never ceases to inspire! Personally I feel the top left and the rightmost image look a little too similar, creating a little redundancy in the triptych. How about flipping that first one horizontally or a 180 degree rotation?

Lovely moment! Gives me the feeling of a break up- the way the other bird looks at the departing bird gives the impression of a lover's lingering gaze!

Majestic, Nirav! Just nitpicking, the sun feels a little close to the top frame to me. I would personally have liked the frame a little higher ...

I concur with Ashwini here. Never saw the insect in the thumbnail, and seeing it in the image was ... well, I would say a little disappointing as it was taking away the silky smoothness of the water for me! Brilliant image nevertheless!

It just looks like fireworks erupting right above the elephant. Brilliant 3d effect!

Simple, yet profound. Would I have liked it with just the upper branch as well? I think so!

This one is really really soothing, Neelu. Those aquas in the middle make all the difference to this image!

The simplicity on this one makes me reminded of Andreas Gurskys' Rhine river photograph that got sold by $4.3 million, and I like this much more than that one :). Wanna try auctioning it?

Dream shot, Sriram! to me that tiny glint of rim lighting on the tusk takes the cherry!

The effect of the golden light has made a lot of difference to the colored version RD!

Love the minimalism here. Something is nagging me with respect to the placement of the branch. Is it that the branch is leaning towards the left and the eye is trying to find something else here? Would a portrait oriented compo have been more impactful here? I am unable to put a finger to it!

I dont know how many more times, I would come and say "I love it" with your photographs! Brilliant one Saurabh. The oranges are looking a little over the top for me- not sure if it is my uncalibrated office monitor!

what do I see in this image apart from the lovely bnw conversion? A conversation between two trees in two phases of their lives? One that has leaves, other that has companions as if to compensate for the lack of leaves.

Lovely, powerful frame here Nilanjan. The direction of light that makes nebulas out of a cloud of dust, the curled up trunks that shows the recoil of the whipping release, those tiny tusks at the bottom, everything works for me!

Mesmerising. I am reminded of a t-shirt that I had as a child, which had such lines, which used to make people see lines everywhere, after looking at me for sometime. I too would go for a tighter crop here, to intensify the confusion!

Wow! This one is brilliantly done, Pramod. My eyes moved end to end on it , over and over again and still dont seem to have seen enough of it. Every pass gives a different impression of the image - as if it is an abtract painting jigsaw puzzle put together!

Thank you Prithvi, it was sunlight only! I was just roaming about my backyard, looking for insects for macro when the sun burst through after almost a week of overcast skies. The result was this crystal clear light!
