the birds is drawn with foliage of the tree which is planted at Keoladeo national park for the purpose of nesting and roosting ....a single image was used to portray the bird and its environment here...the technique used to create the image was in camera multiple exposure...the first exposure was for the bird and the second for the foliage...first a black bird(here cormorant) was selected with a bright bg and this exposure was over exposed so that the high lights totally gets burned away and the second exposure with proper exposure of the foliage...the blending mode selected was "light" in canon 5dmk3....this was my first attempt..need to explore this more....the trip was good with lot of fog for few days...

i feel its ok even if the frog is not in focus..the presence of the animal is there... but the leaves are taking away the simplicity of the composition nor they are telling a story...

i feel a bit more slower shutter speed would have rendered the rain drops well ..too slow it will take away the effect also...need to find that optimum speed....the elephant need a bit more definition....all these changes is by a very small amount....

"monotony after the curves were over for the eyes"... when i look at the image,i too feel it now...you are correct Nilanjanda....some reeds would have added in that aspect......i went back to few of my earlier images made in this concept....a new point learned.....yes its a full frame....

i too can see the colour cast....but some how i liked it.. ......the colour could be because of the defocused leaves in the fg.......to me the reeds were complementing the curve ...the smudged colours mixing to each other the dark area balancing the lighter tone body of the crane....a visual experience.....i agree to your observation....but then should we create rules?if there is mystery in this then let mystery be a mystery ..why have some thing to add on?..in some situation to give a clue we can have some additions in the composition so as to give a hint about the mystery......my thoughts....

it took a lot of time for me to take a decision to go with this tone...i worked various options ..but at the end settled with this .....from my little knowledge of selling prints i'm sure no one is going to buy this..so need not worry about the print...

i wanted to title this "fly away to nowhere"..left it untitled to find what kind of thoughts would trigger in the viewers mind..Unfortunately the visual failed to communicate i guess... “fly away to nowhere” - life is a continuous search for answers of question we ask our self….but not sure if any one finds the answer completely…. Again not sure if this makes any sense….
