Comment: Saw it on a better screen now. I enjoyed that sense of confusion and conflict caused by leaving out any direct indicator of scale. My mind fluctuates between vast mountain side and tiny roots through moss and rock !!!! That causes a pleasant uneasy feeling

Comment: overall muted and pinkish hue creates a mood. Seems like a tense moment for some reason . What happened next ?

Comment: Thanks Ganesh. It is a tad grainy in the print. I could have added a black layer and increased contrast. But I wanted that muted contrast to give that fluid/melting feeling.
BTW the rocks were not wet. Worn out shiny rocks in Kali river

Comment: Thanks guys. As I said experimenting.
@Aditya Yes , the paper punched water mark became prominent. ON a small print it distracts

Comment: Thanks Ganesh.
First one possible. But, definitely I want to do on my own and work with the colors deepens my experience and journey.
Second one need to experiment - Between inkjet paper, constant immersion in water, shrinking, sizing etc needs to be studied. May be a complicated route.
On the other hand I am planning to mix some Acetone to increase fluidity or may be drink some Ethanol before painting

Ganesh I have been reading a bit of color theory and also trying to color some BnW gum prints with color pencils. So I try to recollect the colors and use different pencils till I get some satisfaction. This has been a great learning and helped me improve my field observation. Some learning
- While coloring a leaf if I just use green it looks so bad and artificial- Most of the time it is Yellow green, Blue green, brown green.
- I was trying to color rocks - Grey did not work - I had to work with red / brown sometimes blue to reflect my memory
All this has taken me to Color theory and how colors interact with each other and also how the brain sees it. That's another layer of "unreal" perception.
I was thinking since you have a large amount of pixels you could make small squares from different portions paste it on a black background then we can see how the subtle variations take place . Isolate them and eliminate the perception interference
That could be any art piece by itself not allowing the viewer to say "Red" flower and walk off !!!
I don't know what brought the flower here. But, now that it is here I will enjoy it's company !!!! ( My Theory

Comment: Thanks Ganesh.
I was using the the word canvas loosely. It is paper
Yes I prepared the paper with brushes having two different colors before printing on it.
I need to make it more uniform and achieve a more conscious effect that adds to the final image. This was my first try and need more skill. Also the mixed pigment is a bit viscous and does not flow and spread like water colors need to try some different approach.
Will continue with attempts

Comment: aha creates a lovely mood. The grain adds a lot in terms of mood and tonal gradation. It fills the mind to read the mood of the blankness of empty spaces.
I have used ORWO NP22. Some flavor of 1980's talk - " Better to develop NP22 is D76 which is a fine grain developer than like a HC110 or Rodinal that pronounces the grain. Grain was an enemy many times in those days. Then to further tone down the grain we used a diffusion enlarger as opposed to a condenser and soft grade 3 printing paper ....and so on blah blah...." It was hard work and patience to achieve final results.
Will try to dig out some prints

Comment: Just to clarify the way this was made was I cut up a print at the horizon line . The the two pieces I "stitched" together with the white thread. I placed against a dark BG just to make the white thread visible. All this becomes obvious when seen physically but in this picture it was causing some confusion.
Idea was that the horizon is a imaginary line and I wanted to make the viewer physically aware of this and become conscious about the concept of the horizon.
