Books on Art

Recently I purchased this book History of Art by AN Hodge

Though most aspect of the book was covering art evolution with painting as the medium
much of the information i found was relevant from photography point of view also.
It was nice to see how the definition of "what is viewed as artistic element" evolved
over a period of time. So have you guys come across any other interesting books which has influenced
your understanding of art ?

I think there is a lot to learn looking at paintings to improve our photography. I have not done any search on right books. I would love to go through them however. Thanks for shring Mahesh/Santhosh..
