Hi all,

I found this forum accidentally via google. It appears to be a vibrant community of enthusiastic fine art lovers.

Let me introduce myself. I am a fine art photographer based in New Jersey and originally from Bangalore. I practice and teach photography here in NJ. In the past, when I have taught a few workshops in advanced photography concepts/techniques such as HDR, Maximizing RAW processing, Focus Stacking, Color Management and Fine Art Printing. I have apprenticed for several years now under a popular local NJ based artist called Nancy Ori (She was a student of and taught in Ansel Adams's workshops). I have had several exhibitions of my work - most recently of Fractal Art.

In short - I am happy to be acquainted with a good community of fellow photographers who are practicing and advocating photography as a tool for producing fine art.

however, 8th cross seems to me as my residential address
i suggest you to use your real name,
or do you just want us to place you as "8thcross", just like me to be refferred as "RD" ?

8thcross should be fine...unless the forum has rules that say we must use real names while registering (I don't recall reading it). In any case - Thanks...nice to know that you are in 8thcross....I own and operate a studio here in NJ called "8thcross photography" - of course based on my memories of the real "8thcross" you refer to.

Welcome to the group!!

We do want to know the real name of the person to make sure we are communicating a person and not a with a software at the other end That said any id comfortable to you should be fine but then there may be folks who may not know your real name and start addressing you as 8thcross. Looking forward to see your images and critiques..
