Framing the prints.

Postby dinesh.ramarao » Tue May 17, 2011 11:26 am

Friends,
After a long time, i have started printing my images again. (No I didnot buy a printer, have found a person who can get me the prints i want, well almost ). A set of prints are framed. Most who looked at the printed & framed images have said - you should have used 'anti-glare glass'. I have not compromised on the framing, but using 'anti-glare' glass would be a costly solution. Is this something bothered you (if you are printing and framing :) ) ? Any ideas of better framing?
thanks in advance,
best regards,

RD, no glass at all may look better, but then the print is exposed. You may need a protective spray on that (similar to canvas).

Thanks Ganesh, I knew about the protective coats on media.

With the traditional framing : Art on Mount boards (single or double, sometimes multiple) and a frame around it : gives the right "hangable" frame for me. But, no glass ? I'm not for it. Or am i missing 'different framing' for 'no glass frames' ? (There are some solutions like lamination, which i'm discounting, as i don't like them).
