Dear CNPians,
I thought of sharing a few images I made at Hornbill Resort, Dandeli. This might give you some insights into photographic opportunities there (for our CNP Meet 2016).
The place is very beautiful amidst Western Ghats jungles and on the banks of river Kali. Malabar Pied Hornbills are every where, so are other forest bird species.
If you plan to venture into forest trails please bring some insect/tick repellent sprays or some protection (and may be a Dettol soap). Full arm shirts will help.
You may swim or go on boat ride or on rafting in Kali river. Early mornings are very pleasant. There are other subjects such as dracos (flying lizard), Malabar
giant squirrels etc. Ideal focal length range is 24mm to 600mm
If you had visited this place earlier please feel free to add to this thread (including images you made)! We may update this thread with more info...
