Can we tone down Photo display page

Hi,
My monitor calibration with Spyder has shown that I can work correctly only in medium to low light. Rather than bright daylight. At these lighting levels I find the pic display page a bit bright and competing with the tones in the pic. You think we can tone that down a little more. It is like a Zone VI now more like a Zone IV or at least V. Thanks for considering this. Regards Rajkumar
