Shapes Imagined II
Not a field study. Hope mods can accommodate. ( No issues. I can remove if too much out of the line :) )
A fine art nature study nevertheless. Does it appeal and convey ?
thanks

Does it appeal and convey?

Raj, first my mind wanted to analyse what this one really is (physically) - watermelon? or some sort of sea shell? So the side question is, if the subject is not readily identifiable and if we wanted to convey some abstract thoughts through that subject are we letting it dilute?

Ok, I couldn't figure it exactly out, the next question being what the photographer wanted to convey? a puzzle (may not be)? What else? Still pondering..

Thanks Ganesh for taking the time. Could be a failed experiment. But as we say in CNP good to fail. May be colour will solve at least the mystery of the subject. Let me post that shortly

From the color image I could guess it to be a fig? close up reveals galactic space dotted with stars. Now on to Ganesh's question "what the photographer wanted to convey" over to you Raj :)

Thanks Nirlep for taking the time. Not sure if i have a satisfactory answer.
Some thoughts with which I made this
- It appealed to my basic instinct of examining if something can be eaten ripe, full
- The physical form texture, the surface pattern that we do not notice
- The unusual shape and the roundness and the volume it occupies which is transient but it makes it place in the world as of that moment
- I also thought it was sensual in the way it looked
Possibly did not work or appeal I do accept that :)
