plague
just before the salt flat is fully white, thousands of locust were lying dead, almost colourless and intact as if mummified (salt helps to stop decaying dead body). their appearance in such a deadly place and death was like a mystery.

When I saw the thumbnail I thought this image must be yours and I was right ! Love the simplicity and composition here Nevil. To me you have an image (with a bit wider) here without the locust too. Like those lines. Little bit of sharpening I think will add to it. Thanks for sharing.

Nevilji, another stunner from you! I am speechless!
This image makes me go in silence! It has such a power in it! Very strong and appealing composition for my taste. I am learning a lot from images like this. The lines on the ground, the tonality and the position of the locust everything is so appealing and making a great impact!
I can spend hours together staring at it! Thanks for sharing.

thank you for your critics that alway lift my spirit.

@ ganeshji, i too wish the lines and floor bit sharper, actually they are but the whole place was having soft edges as if melting! rendering no sharp edges for miles!

@ ashwiniji, this is what that always attract me in composing, simplicity 'n documentary feel.

thank you once again to all viewers. regards.
