At Kokkare Bellur birds have been living together with villagers for centuries. Hundred years ago when the village was hit by plague the village moved, so did the birds. Birds built their home again next to homes of the people.
As one of the villager puts it, they live in the first floor of the house (in trees beside their homes). Long live their relationship...
