A simple, moody image. Is that a bird or a spec of dust in he centre of the image?

done many times...Still the posture of the bird, the shape of the branch and the distribution of tones makes it special...Great choice of the way the image is processed

Thanks Ganesh, Adithya & Raj for the encouraging words!

@Adithya, I think that's a bird.

@Raj, recently have been working on processing especially on tonality & tonal separation. I'm referring lot of CNP images, especially yours and Ganesh's images for the monochrome conversions. Understanding technicalities is one thing and understanding aesthetics of an image is another thing. Most challenging part and most important thing has been 'knowing where to stop'. As more and more I dig in to this more and more I'm understanding that my knowledge is very very limited. It becomes frustrating at times, no it's frustrating most of the times. This image is among the ones that gave me little satisfaction. But I know that there is lot to learn than what I've learnt so far. "Miles to go before I sleep" feels apt at the moment.

Raj, would you mind bringing in few of your prints to the CNP meet. It would be a great learning for all of us for sure.

Best Regards,
Prashanth

Wonderful image Prashanth, the way bird is looking into the direction of the light is very warming. TFS

The hint of noise in the background adds a lovely texture to an overall beautiful image.
