May be web is not the right presentation media for images like this. This one is a full frame image with lots of details. Just the vulture and the hole alone can be cropped to show it as about 700pixels wide image with good quality. Print may do some justice. Wish the vulture landed before sunset. Made this one at Ramnagar last week end. Thanks for your views..

Ganesh what an image this is, I would rate it among the best for vultures. This is very interesting how certain ecological niches facilitate these birds to nest. Maybe a pointer for habitat management and restoration of other vultures too. Coming back to the image, I am with you that the web does not do justice for this image but the placement of the bird in the frame and the composition come together for an impactful image. This is clearly a lesson that even the drabest place can provide opportunities if ones know how to see images. This is an example of thoughtful seeing.

A very well framed image! The title is very very apt! I only wish that the line on the rock (on the left side) was absent! (may be too much to ask for ;) ) For my senses it looks much better if the whole image was uniform with the pattern of the rock, without that line (or crack) and ofcourse you cannot do anything for that... :) A very well seen image and I liked the tonality. Thanks for sharing...

An absolute masterpiece, Ganesh. And I wholeheartedly agree with you that only a print can do justice to this. Should be one of the first ones to roll out of your new printer. :-) I just love this image precisely the way it is. I think the true test of an image is how much of an impact it has on the viewer, and this has a tremendous amount, and instantaneous impact at that. I love images where a subject is showcased as a tiny entity against a dramatically big surrounding, and this image features as the favourite amongst all I've seen so far. Thanks for sharing this sublime creation.

Hi ganesh
This is your signature shot beautifully captured. You've aptly titled the image as scale and scale it shows. Also, how an endless stretch of brown for one could be home for another. This really makes spaces sacred. These are our ecology temples really. Thanks for taking us there.

Love every pixel of it, would love to see a print Ganesh !

I agree a little light would have added more to the image, especially if a shadow could bring out the depth in the nest.

Yes would love to see it in print (big print, that is)! The texture looks so inviting and the white pattern of the vulture dropping take you straight to the Subject. The dry grass at the bottom left and the huge black streak running across the rock all add character to the image and portray the habitat very very well. I definitely love it. I now seem to have developed a very strong liking to pictures with more than ample space around the subjects and can attribute it to the cramped conditions we are living in these days. So this picture works very well for me :)

wonderful perspective Ganesh! The diagonal roc pattern and the subject high up in the frame with the "whitewash" compliments very well . Definitely a wall hanger !
