@ Adithya - I think, overall frame may look dark but exposure is just perfect.

@ Nevil, not the exposure, the overall feel it gives. For that I like to see this a bit overexposed, just to know the difference. May be that small plant can have more lighter shades.
Just some random thoughts.

the dark leaves and twigs on the ground look like made out of lead frozen in time.....the root is still cooling down the only sign of life is the bright leaves....

maybe, may the leaves can be a tad brighter if at all then maybe not ....

Thanks Adithya, Nevil and Raj for your views.

I chose the low-key rendering for two reasons: to highlight the tiny saplings from the litter around by tonal separation and as Raj rightly pointed out, to give the litter their own character through that metallic sheen.

I agree that the saplings could have been a shade lighter...
