fly against the sky
I have seen butterfly images against various natural backgrounds. Very seldom have I seen it against the sky. This was my first attempt.

In another forum, I had posted an image of this series in landscape mode. There I was advised try rotating the image it would have a better impact on the image. Which I felt is true.

I was unsure about to cropping or keep the small blade of grass in the frame. To me, before rotating this image (in landscape) the small blade of grass was a distraction. After having rotated CCW by 90deg, I feel it’s no more a distraction and adds value to this image.

Look forward to your opinions and thoughts.

Nice perspective here Sree Kumar. I would crop that smaller grass blade if this were mine however. May be a non-centered composition would add further to the image. Thanks for sharing..

A bit different from regular butterfly images. I liked it against the blue sky. Yes, I love to see it in different composition. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks for your inputs Ganesh. I will crop and try composing as you have suggested to see the difference.
