For a lark
On a boatride in the Kabini reservoir backwaters this lark landed on a rock perch and started to preen. The dense forest background created the dark bg and the rocks anchored well I composed and shot to create this mood.

Class image VMR ! Beautiful lighting, well done on composition - wing spread renders this image very artistic. Not sure wheather slight clockwise rotation will help here - you may need to try it - I am not totally sure since slanted lines some times makes it more dynamic...

Ganesh actually it is a mound rising from the right to left, I left it as it is.

VMR, It's like night background and arc light for the bird. Beautiful visualisation. Totally liked the compo.

Beautiful light VMR... a MIND can see so many things.. if it wants to... to me i like the way the rocks are tilted to the right and the bird seems to be pushing its side of the ground further down in the frame :).. no wonder creativity can be so subjective.. am sure there would be various different reasons y ppl would like this picture.. as Ganesh said maybe you can try rotating it a bit.. but it works as is to me too..

Beautiful! Love the light and the way the lark stands out so prominently in the frame despite this being a scape image. Very nice composition.
